The Super Bowl XXV ring that once belonged to Lawrence Taylor was sold at auction over the weekend for $230,401, the most ever paid for a Super Bowl ring. The item, which was sold by Taylor's son, TJ, went into extended bidding through SCPAuctions.com on Saturday night until the winning bid was reached Sunday morning.

The ring is being sold not by the Hall of Fame linebacker for the Giants but by his son, Lawrence Taylor Jr., to whom Taylor gave the championship memento.
